NHS in Sussex begins to deliver essential winter vaccines

21st September 2021

The NHS in Sussex has started to deliver the safe and effective annual flu vaccination programme.

Flu and coronavirus can make some people seriously ill and it’s more important than ever to get the flu vaccine if you’re eligible to. It is expected that this will be the first winter when COVID-19 will co-circulate alongside the seasonal influenza virus.

The flu vaccine is free at GP surgeries or local pharmacies for those aged 50 years and over, pregnant women, and those with certain underlying medical conditions.
