The Sussex People’s Panel is an exciting and dynamic way to gather insight, views and experiences from members of our local population.

In 2019, Sussex Health and Care Partnership (SHCP) established The Sussex People’s Panel to share surveys and questionnaires with members of our local community to connect with what really matters to them and improve local health and care services in response. Funded by NHS England, the People’s Panel is being led by the CCGs on behalf of the SHCP.

It is made up of residents from across Sussex who are representative of the local population, including people of varying age, gender, geographical area within Sussex, ethnicity, socio-economic status, mental health conditions, and disabilities.

The People’s Panel will enable us to increase our reach to people who would not normally take part in our traditional engagement work, with a greater focus on hearing from people from our seldom heard communities, such as younger people, the BAME community and LGBTQ+ community.

Members of the Sussex People’s Panel access the People’s Panel via a secure online hub, and play a crucial role in offering their opinions to help design and shape local health and care services in Sussex.
